Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026.

1. Introduction

ArchByte is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of visitors and users of archbyte.com.br. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information.

Although our business operates in Brazil and follows Brazilian privacy standards, this English version is provided to make our data practices accessible to international visitors.

2. Data controller

The data controller responsible for the processing described in this policy is:

  • Business name: ArchByte
  • Address: Rua Rio Grande do Norte, 1435 – Sala 708, Savassi, Belo Horizonte - MG, Brazil
  • Privacy email: privacidade@archbyte.com.br

3. Data we collect

3.1 Data provided by you

When you fill out our contact or quote form, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Business segment or industry
  • Project type
  • Project goal
  • Preferred timeline
  • Project message or description

3.2 Automatically collected data

During navigation, we may automatically collect technical information for security, performance, and analytics purposes, such as:

  • IP address
  • Device type
  • Browser and operating system
  • Browser language
  • Referrer page
  • Date and access time

3.3 Third-party services

We use third-party services such as Google Tag Manager, analytics tools, and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to improve performance, measure usage, and protect forms against abuse.

3.4 Chat assistant (pre-sales)

Our website includes a pre-sales chat assistant powered by an AI model. When you interact with it:

  • The conversation history is stored only in your browser (local storage) and automatically expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. ArchByte does not keep a copy of your messages on its servers.
  • Your messages are sent to OpenRouter (the API router we use) and processed by OpenAI (model gpt-5.4-nano), which is currently locked as the sole provider — fallbacks to other providers are disabled. Both operate under contractual policies that prohibit using API content for model training.
  • To prevent abuse, our backend logs only aggregated technical metadata (event type, truncated IP, latency, error codes). No message text is logged.
  • If you choose to be connected to our team, the assistant may ask for your first name and business segment. These details travel only inside the pre-filled WhatsApp link or as part of the URL when you visit the contact form — we do not store them separately.

The assistant's purpose is limited to answering pre-sales questions about ArchByte and connecting you to a human when appropriate. Do not share sensitive personal data (financial details, health information, identity documents) with the assistant.

4. Why we process your data

We process personal data to:

  • Reply to quote and contact requests
  • Discuss projects and commercial opportunities
  • Prevent spam, bots, and abuse
  • Analyze website traffic and improve the experience
  • Maintain security and incident logs when necessary

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only with essential service providers, technical partners, or authorities when legally required.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for preferences such as theme and language, and we may use analytics and security technologies provided by Google.

You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but disabling essential technologies may affect parts of the website.

7. Storage and retention

Contact requests are sent by email to our team. We do not maintain a public database of these form submissions on the website itself.

Messages may be retained for as long as necessary to handle the request and, when justified, for a limited period for documentation, service continuity, or legal defense.

8. Security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS, form validation, anti-spam protections, and restricted access to received information.

No system is completely immune to risk, but we work to reduce exposure and respond appropriately if incidents occur.

9. International processing

Some providers we use, such as Google services, OpenRouter, and OpenAI (chat assistant), may process data outside Brazil, including in the United States, according to their own infrastructure and legal commitments.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or clarification regarding your personal data. To make a request, contact:

privacidade@archbyte.com.br

11. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party platforms such as WhatsApp, Google, and external services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

12. Minors

Our services are not directed to minors. If we discover that personal data from minors has been collected inadvertently, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

13. Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, technical, or operational practices. The latest revision date will always appear on this page.
